Richmond, CA signs letter of intent to collaborate with Mondragon

Richmond, California Mayor Gayle McLaughlin has signed a letter of intent with Mondragon's Director of Cooperative Dissemination, Mikel Lezamiz, as a commitment to explore possibilities for future collaboration. The letter cites Mondragon's collaboration with Cleveland and agreement with the U.S. Steelworkers.. McLaughlin had toured Mondragon for a 5-day seminar with the Praxis Peace Institute. Praxis had hosted speakers from Mondragon at their 2009 conference in California. The Mayor and Community Advocate Marilyn Langlois held public conversations about the idea on October 12th and 14th, while the director of Praxis wrote about Mondragon on the Huffington Post.
