Operation Cooperation Promotes the IYC in Massachusetts Submitted by Joe on Tue, 02/07/2012 - 07:43 "Operation Cooperation is a 2012 initiative promoting the cooperative economy in greater Boston and across Massachusetts, and is encouraged by the UN’s designation of 2012 as the Year of the Cooperatives. The benefits of cooperatives to our state economy are clear. Their principal concern is for their members, not profits. Co-ops are organized to solve local problems. They are sustainable by nature and co-op jobs are never under threat of being outsourced. Co-ops share a common goal: that of democratic rule. They have a propensity to support other co-ops and local businesses. Finally, a self-aware and vibrant co-op community strives to create a fairer society". email / post to social media 964 reads Add new comment Your name E-mail The content of this field is kept private and will not be shown publicly.
