The protests in support of collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin have been joined by the Union Cab cooperative, whose members have blogged about the governors' rollback of labor rights and who created a cab convoy that drove down State Street and around the capitol to support the rights of Wisconsin public sector workers, stating "we want to be clear -- Union Cab doesn't make political endorsements. We don't consider basic worker rights political, we consider them as basic human rights."
MadWorC - the Madison Worker Cooperative association, has joined the campaign with a press release endorsing the threatened workers' rights: We are a group of cooperatives who believe strongly in workers' rights to participate in the decision making which effects their livelihood and work environment . We've seen the benefits: successful businesses with longevity and meaningful participation in their communities. We strongly oppose any action from the top dog dictating changes that would so drastically effect workers' lives.
Now the call is being put out to your cooperative.

Rainbow Grocery Cooperative's cheese buyer writes and open letter to the Wisonsin Milk Marketing Board:
You know me. You know I have been a long-time supporter of Wisconsin cheese and that we carry a lot of it, especially for a California supermarket. I have no wish to stop carrying any of your numerous cheeses that we have on our shelves. (It varies of course, but right now we have about 40 different cheeses from about 15 Wisconsin cheesemakers.) I love Wisconsin cheese. However, if this current budget passes it will make Wisconsin a bad word among many people who shop and who work in our store.

Joe,
Those are not "Madison Taxi's" they are Union Cabs, you are thinking of a different fleet.
We've demonstrated several times, declared our solidarity and many of our cooperative's members have been sleeping in the Capitol Building.
Union Cab is now "Going RED" with ribbons and flags on our cabs to demonstrate solidarity.
